I was glad to be part of the Japan Overseas Training Trip. This program gave me the chance to explore and experience many new things, especially learning more about Japanese culture in a direct and practical way. We visited well-known places such as Osaka Castle, Dotonbori, Expo 2025, and Universal Studios. We also traveled to Kyoto, where we explored several tourist attractions. On the final day, we visited a university and took part in cultural activities such as matcha making, traditional calligraphy, and kimono wearing, which gave us a closer look at Japanese traditions.
The most memorable experience for me was visiting Universal Studios. It was enjoyable to experience the different attractions, and it became one of the highlights of the trip. We went on several rides, including the Harry Potter ride, which I found especially fun. We also watched a live show that was both interesting and humorous, which made the visit even more memorable.
There were some challenges during the trip. The schedule was quite full, and there was a lot of walking, which at times felt tiring. We also faced a small language barrier, but it was manageable with the help of translation tools. Despite these challenges, the trip was well organized, and everything went as planned.
This experience helped me understand Japanese culture better, not just from books or media, but through real-life interactions and activities. I was also able to meet and communicate with participants from other countries, which gave me more opportunities to share ideas and learn from different perspectives. This has helped me develop a broader and more global mindset, which I believe will be helpful for my academic and career plans in the future.
Overall, I appreciate the efforts of the organizers and professors who guided us throughout the trip. I also enjoyed the company of the friends I made along the way. The program was a good balance of learning and cultural experience, and I would be interested in joining a similar program again.
